On the 11th of September there will be a nice record fair at the OT301. Check out the message we received, and of course we will be there:
-----------------------
A small experiment takes place on Saturday 11th September at OT301.
A record fair of sorts - it was an idea that came up during a discussion about all the labels, indie sellers, record retailers and self releasing bands that are very active still in this city.
The bar and main room will be occupied by local labels, private sellers, importers, as well as some select boxes from the cities finest music emporiums. There will be space for entrants to trade too.
Sellers will be encouraged to make use of free 15 minute time slots on the venues sound system to play some of their most desirable items. This will assure a lively soundtrack to the event and hopefully open people’s ears to some music they can go and buy straight from the turntable!
There will be very small fees to cover costs:
Entrants:
1 euro (People are encouraged to bring a bag to sell/trade)
Sellers or Traders:
10 Euros Per space (Maximum 3 Boxes)
The main objective of this fair is to give local record buying people a very real perspective on what’s happening right now in the city, who’s actually producing physical product and a chance to socialise/buy/trade in a very relaxed environment.
11 September
13.00 - 18.00 hrs
